Why does my coffee machine need descaling?
Tap water leaves limescale in the boiler or thermoblock and the pipes. Over time it lowers the brewing temperature and pressure, slows the machine and makes coffee taste flat or bitter. Descaling dissolves it before it causes a fault.
Does a water filter mean I do not need to descale?
No. A filter slows limescale down, so you descale less often, but some still builds up. Most bean-to-cup machines still need descaling every few months with a filter in.
Can I change or cancel the plan?
