About this product

A knock box is where the used coffee puck goes after each shot. Tap the filter holder on the bar and the puck drops out in one piece, without a trip to the bin or grounds in the sink.

This De'Longhi knock box has a heavy-duty bar built for repeated knocks, a non-slip base so it stays put, and a bar that lifts out for emptying and cleaning. It is small enough to sit beside the machine. It is for manual espresso machines like La Specialista and Dedica; bean-to-cup machines empty their own grounds.

Used coffee grounds are good for the compost heap or the garden, so a knock box also makes them easy to collect. Empty it daily so the grounds do not go mouldy, and give it a rinse once a week.
