About this product

Coffee goes stale because of air. Once a bag is open, the flavour starts to fade within a couple of weeks. This De'Longhi canister has a built-in vacuum seal that draws the air out, so beans keep their aroma for longer.

It also keeps out light and moisture, the other two things that dull coffee. Use it for whole beans or ground coffee, and keep it in a cool, dark cupboard rather than the fridge. Handy if you buy 1kg bags.

Keeping beans fresh

Keep the canister away from the oven, the kettle and sunny windowsills, as heat speeds up staling. Fill it with what you will use in the next few weeks and keep the rest of the bag sealed. For a bean-to-cup machine, only put a few days' worth in the hopper at a time.

Questions

Do I need one?

If a bag lasts you more than a couple of weeks once opened, yes. Air is what makes coffee taste flat, and a vacuum slows that down.

Can I keep ground coffee in it?

Yes, whole beans or ground.

Should I put coffee in the fridge instead?

No. The fridge adds moisture and smells. A sealed canister in a cool, dark cupboard is better.

What if it is not right?

Delivery is free and tracked. If it is not what you needed, you have 30 days from delivery to send it back unused for a refund. Email us and we will help.
