About this product

EcoDecalk is De'Longhi's own descaler, the one their manuals name. It dissolves the limescale that hard water leaves inside the boiler, pipes and valves, so your coffee stays hot, full-flavoured and quick to pour.

This is 200ml. Most De'Longhi bean-to-cup machines use 100ml each time, so that is two descales. Some machines use more, so check your manual.

How often?

When your machine's descale light comes on, with the water hardness set correctly. Without a light, roughly every 1 to 4 months depending on how hard your water is and how much you make.

For step-by-step help, see how to descale with EcoDecalk. For more descales per bottle, try our own Universal Descaler 500ml.

How to use it

Remove the water filter, and empty the drip tray and grounds container.
Pour EcoDecalk into the tank to the level your manual gives (often level A, 100ml), then add water.
Put a large container under the outlets and start the descale programme.
Rinse the tank, refill with clean water and complete the rinse.

Questions

How many descales is 200ml?

Most De'Longhi bean-to-cup machines use 100ml a descale (fill to level A in the tank, then water to level B), so 200ml covers two. Check your manual for your model.

What is the difference between DLSC200 and DLSC202?

Both are 200ml of the same EcoDecalk descaler sold under different De'Longhi product codes. Buy whichever your manual or machine lists; either works.

Which machines does it suit?

Every De'Longhi coffee machine, bean-to-cup and manual espresso, and most other brands too.
